That’s right! ARK365DMV is sponsoring a Christmas in July event to support the So Others Might Eat (SOME) ABLE Program.

The SOME ABLE Program was relaunched in response to the K2 drug epidemic in the District of Columbia. As part of this program, clients are allowed to enter the Dining Room of the SOME facility between meal services in order to participate in worthwhile activities. This allows clients to get off the street where exposure to this tragic plague on the city, meanwhile encouraging them to participate in the available addictions program if they need to, while giving them a safe haven off the streets.

We are collecting donations to provide 375 care packages to those participating in the ABLE Program. Items we are collecting include: underwear (men’s and women’s), socks, razors/shaving items, deodorant, toothbrushes/toothpaste, lotion, soap/body wash, wash cloths, and other personal hygiene items for both men and women. Of course, cash is always welcomed to support purchase of these things. However, if you would prefer to shop and send items directly to us, we would love to receive them! All efforts to support this cause are valuable and much appreciated.
